The Consequence of Rushing

See what happens when you rush? Surprises get revealed. No one could have imagined that Mr. Glenn Marshall harbored such skeletons in his closet. However, many argue that this is the history of "one man". We are negotiating with "the tribe". "This doesn't change anything...we are still proceeding forward with land into trust".

Our concerns from the beginning have been that we do not know who we are dealing with. The investors wanted us to believe we were dealing with Glenn Marshall, hence all the fanfare and handshaking after the result of the vote on the agreement on 7/28. The investors chose Glenn Marshall to be their spokesperson. They wanted his face to be at the forefront. All along we knew who had the control, and the investors chose WRONG. So now they have to quickly regroup after this setback. Glenn Marshall will resign and a new tribal council chair will step in.

Some say this setback is not relevant. However, I disagree. The definition of "rush" in Webster's Dictionary is "to perform hastily".."impatient movement toward or from a place". What happened with Glenn Marshall is a direct consequence of rushing. This is a doozy in a long line of potential surprises that lie ahead, directly a result of not being fully informed.

If red flags aren't popping up in some peoples heads that we need to slow down, then what will it take? What other WRONG decisions will need to be revealed? We only had FIVE days to review a very lengthy agreement that will have monumental effects on Middleboro. Can we really say with confidence that we know the magnitude of what lies ahead? We are getting some real red flag warnings here. Let's heed our intuition and stop this process or at the very least, SLOW IT DOWN before it's too late.
